Biography

Ayanda Meyiwa joined the UKZN under the College of Law and Management Studies, School of Accounting Economics and Finance as a Developmental Lecturer on the 1st of September 2015. Currently a PhD candidate at the Graduate School of Business & Leadership, Mr A Meyiwa is a researcher in the field of Maritime Economics with special interest in port governance and port pricing. The key focus of Meyiwa’s current research is in articulating South Africa’s port doctrine for a democratic developmental state and he looks forward to widely publishing in this field and contributing tangibly to the teaching of maritime economics with the UKZN and research for industry practitioners within the field.
