Professor Rajendra Rajaram an Associate Professor and former Academic Leader of Managerial Accounting and Financial Management at the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) with a PhD in Accounting focused on Business Rescue. Professor Rajaram’s career commenced in 2007 after a successful career in commerce where he held senior executive positions in commerce and banking.He has leveraged his fifteen-year academic career on the fundamental business principle of sustainability, which manifests in his approach to academic leadership, research and supervision, community outreach and mentorship of staff. Professor Rajaram served as a member of the University’s Senate, South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) Legal Compliance Committee and he is currently on the management committee of the School’s Business Rescue Unit.
