Professor Josue Mbonigaba is an associate professor and an Academic Leader of Higher Degrees and Research at the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance. He has published over 36 economics research papers in accredited national and international journals and three book chapters. His research in this area spanned issues of cost-effectiveness analysis, sexual and reproductive health, efficiency analyses, Health services research, health inequalities, small-scale irrigation, subsistence farming, foreign aid and development.
Mbonigaba is actively involved in the supervision of postgraduate students and attracting NRF research funds for a project to empower these students. He is also currently involved in research projects with academics at other universities in South Africa and abroad in Asthma and respiratory diseases research.
