Dr Damien Kunjal  


Dr. Damien Kunjal was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in Finance in the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance in January 2024. Previously, Dr. Kunjal was appointed as a Lecturer in the Department of Business Management at the University of the Free State from April 2021 to June 2023 and as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Economic Sciences at the North-West University from July 2023 to December 2023. He has several years of higher education experience ranging from tutoring, lecturing, academic monitoring and support, curriculum review and development, and research supervision. He has also published in several highly-ranked international journals including Risk Management, Economies, Journal of Asset Management, and Cogent Economics and Finance. His research interests include, but are not limited to; investor behaviour, financial risk management, investment management and portfolio optimization, and exchange traded funds.
